The pleasures of sleeping in

I didn't really hope for the chance to sleep in this term. But today I could, due to one class not taking place. So I only had to go there for one meeting at 1.15 pm. That's nice. Then I went home at about 4.00 pm and at 7.00 pm I have the next appointment. Hopefully not so very long. But: I did get home quite a while before the next meeting and that is a nice thing.

This morning I got up at 9.30 am. Then I printed out material for the meeting in school and in between got ready in the bath, in the kitchen and so on. My old printer is not compatible with my new computer. So, I thought, "No big deal, I use the old computer." But it turned out, that my new monitor is not compatible with my old computer either. Still, I did not give up and just connected my old monitor with my old computer and thus was finally able to print.
Now, my printer is from 2005, just like my old computer. So it is not the fastest of models. PLUS: you have to feed in every sheet yourself. You can't put in a stack of paper, because it will only suck in the whole stack and still print only one page. Then it is slow, when you don't dare to leave it and fast, when you dare.
I sat there and waited for A page to be printed and it took about five Minutes. I filled in the next sheet, went into the kitchen to fill the kettle and it was finished in 5 SECONDS. So I had to interrupt the filling. Then I was daredevil like and rushed under the shower and out again and I was actually faster than my printer. It took five Minutes, I only three. I am quick in the morning or I wouldn't get off in time.

All in all, my trusty old printer did the work and let me get all the material and catch an earlier bus. So all was well, even though it didn't end then.

I went to school and now have a topic for my seminar-work: A comparison of corruption between women and men. Now, we all know corruption it seems to be everywhere, but the question is: are there any corrupt women? Yes, there are, but they are in a smaller number than the men.
Or are they? Maybe, there are as many or more corrupt women as men, but they don't get the chance to work on it. Or maybe they are just so much better at hiding their corruptiveness. It is also possible, that the number of corrupt women known is so small only in relation to men in corruptible positions.
And it is a question of location then, as well. Because in some countries, there are many women in positions, where they have a chance to be corrupt, in others, there are none or very few. And those in may not be invited into corrupt schemes.

So, it is a wide field actually, the problem is more, to find written data about this. And I wanted to do the history of corruption. Stupid of me. This looks like much more fun. It can be done easily and I learn something completely new... Cheerio!!
