And it was different to travel with my sister and her teen-kids, because they see things in a different way and they realize other things than I do.
So, in a way, it was for me a completely new way of seeing London. A bit like being there for the first time. I certainly saw the Globe-Theatre for the first time. Great fun all around.
Well perhaps not for my feet, they still ache and don't like long standing, but for every other part of me. Just fun.
AND I found 7 new books to read, so that's fine as well. Though one book I might have already. Ah well. I'll just sell it, if it is true.
So, for a change, I will post some London-Photos, that I actually DO own, but I will - perhaps also post a film that I don't own. Something french though. Photos first:
Forget the blooming photos. My computer seems incable to just copy and paste and in order to get them from my phone to his site I'd have to download an app, and THAT I am not going to do. Dislike it very much.
So you have to imagine photos from Trafalgar Square, St. Pauls Cathedral, Globe Theatre and a red phone booth with a red double-decker-bus on the side (sounds like fries on the side, doesn't ist?
Therefore I go over to the film, that I don't own, because I am tired now.
We had a very nice hotel, the holiday inn express, but we decided to share a room with four persons. That does not sound to bad, only: there were only two beds and it was all very crammed. Two people had to sit on the bed, in order to let one person walk. BUT: apart from that it was a very nice and clean room and people at reception were no end helpful and friendly.
A little example: we arrived in London in the morning. But check-in was not before 2.00 pm. So we just went there, stored our luggage and went back into town. Check in, when we came back was made very easy as well.
The town was full, but not too much. Hardly any beggars. In 3 1/2 days I actually saw 2 persons that I might call that and they only sat there peacefully. Also: the town is very clean. And considering, that it is not always easy to find a trashcan when you want one, that is great work.
I would for instance to have liked a trash-can by a bank, when sitting in Hyde Park. Still: the park was very clean, so maybe people take more care there. On the othere hand: there are a lot of tourists and I am glad, that they actually behave themselves. Because it is not always the case with tourists, that they take care not to spread there trash.
Now for the: I do not own it film.. :-)
